To empower children and families battling childhood cancers and life-threatening diseases through supportive programs, while promoting healthy coping skills and resilience.
Empower patients, connect with siblings, support parents, and promote resilient family relationships.
What makes our Comfort and Care program unique?
Our Comfort and Care team of licensed therapists understands that the diagnosis of a life-threatening disease extends beyond the patient, often impacting the lives of their parents, siblings, caregivers, and other members of the support system. Our goal is to ensure that the needs of the whole family are met through FREE counseling and support services offered to families with a child facing a life-threatening disease. These services are available to children and families who are currently undergoing treatment, as well as those who have completed treatment, or those who may be grieving the loss of a child who battled childhood cancer. Our Comfort & Care team is here to support families through every stage of their treatment journey.
What FREE services do we offer?
Counseling (individual, family, couples)
Parent Connection groups
Coping skills workshops
State-of-the-art resource center
At this time Comfort and Care services are only offered to families in the Maricopa County area and/or for pediatric patients being treated at Banner Thunderbird, Cardon Children's, and Phoenix Children's Hospital.
